Sandra L. Bodnyk is Group Executive Vice President, Chief Risk Officer of National Penn Bancshares, Inc. (“National Penn”). Ms. Bodnyk has more than 35 years of
experience in banking.
Prior to joining National Penn in February 2008, Ms. Bodnyk was Chief Credit Officer and Chief Risk Officer at KNBT. During her tenure, the bank experienced rapid growth in both its product and customer base as it transitioned from a predominantly retail profile to a more balanced retail and commercial bank. At KNBT, Ms. Bodnyk was responsible for all credit, compliance, audit, and risk management functions. Prior to that, she worked in various lending, credit and risk management positions at Wachovia Bank for nearly 30 years.
In her current role as Chief Risk Officer, Ms. Bodnyk is responsible for continuing to strengthen National Penn’s risk management program and procedures. Her direct responsibilities also include commercial and consumer credit, fraud and loss prevention, security, loan review, audit and regulatory compliance.
Ms. Bodnyk’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Muhlenberg College. She also graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Ms. Bodnyk is active in her community and currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Muhlenberg College Board of Associates. She is also a board member and treasurer of the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network.
